GETTYSBURG COMMUNITY SOUP KITCHEN
Serving Meals With Love
Wish List
Our food pantry and soup kitchen are largely supported through the generosity of community members, local businesses and service groups. On this page GCSK has outlined a variety of ways you can give.
Below you will see two lists and the procedure to drop the items off below the lists.
In-kind food drop off:
Your donations – from a box of food to a food drive – help us feed and care for those in need in our community.
Donations may be dropped off through our side entrance, Monday - Saturday,
between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Here are some tips for successful donation of giveaway food items;
Check for expired goods and inspect food items for dents, rust or other signs of damage
Avoid leaving food items in your vehicle where they can become too hot, too cold or even
frozen; temperature changes may cause food to spoil
Individual portions of ready to eat foods, small plastic jars and packages are easy for
people to carry and consume; especially those without shelter
For safety, when possible, avoid glass jars and bottles
If you have a large donation, let us know you’re coming 717-334-2773
Fresh Fruits are always accepted: Oranges, Apples, Bananas, Pears, Peaches
22 W. High Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325 - Parking for drop-offs is available in the Prince of Peace parking lot.
